TCP/IP Deep Dive — Packets, Protocols and Wireshark
Who it is for: IT staff and developers who already know the basics and want to understand — and prove with packet captures — what really happens on the wire.
You will be able to:
- Read IPv4, IPv6, TCP and UDP headers field by field
- Explain the TCP handshake, flow control, congestion control and teardown
- Diagnose MTU, retransmission, latency and DNS problems from a capture
- Follow a TLS and HTTP conversation and know what is and is not encrypted
Prerequisite: Networking Fundamentals or equivalent experience. Install Wireshark before starting.
Community and help: every enrolled student gets the course Forum tab — ask the BOSS Pacific team or other students, share fixes and lab results. Read the BP Academy blog for updates and worked examples.
Includes: the full course as a licensed PDF workbook, available after purchase.
Hands-on labs: rent a ready environment from BOSS Pacific — Linux VM. Every lab resets every 24 hours and is removed at the end of your rental. Or build your own with the gear listed in the course.
